Canisius was led by junior midfielder Caroline Netti ,who scored three goals while graduate midfielder Skylar McArthur added in a pair of goals. Junior defender Jill Galanti secured a team-high four ground balls while senior midfielder Paige Stachura caused three turnovers, one shy of her career-high. The Bobcats would take control of the game from three, scoring a trio of goals, capped by Delmond's game-tying tally with 56 seconds left in regulation, to knot the game at 8-all and force overtime.

In the first overtime frame, Delmond would be awarded a free-position shot with 1:05 left in the period, but senior defender Emme Foote would cause a turnover to keep the frame scoreless.

In the second frame, Kleberg would draw a foul and convert on her ensuing free-position shot to break the deadlock and secure the comeback victory for the Bobcats.

Canisius raced out to a 4-0 lead to open the contest, with Netti scoring all three of her goals in the game's opening 12 minutes.

After a goal from Amy Nicoloff made it 4-1 entering the second frame, the Griffs and Bobcats would each notch two tallies in the second quarter, allowing Canisius to head to the locker room ahead, 6-3.

Quinnipiac would keep the Griffs scoreless in the third quarter while scoring two of their own, courtesy of Delmond and Sophie Spencer, to head to the fourth quarter down one, 6-5.

Postgame Comments from Head Coach Russell Allen:
"Our defense was strong and I'm proud of the way Delaney Hayden played in cage. Unfortunately, we went cold offensively in the 3rd quarter and weren't able to pull away and get the win."
