Head Coach Sahar Nusseibeh's Postgame Comments
"I am thrilled for our three seniors – Erika Joseph, Kayla Jackson and Ella Väätänen – to have them leave here with a win, to end their career at the KAC with a win. You couldn't ask for anything better as a coach. Those three have given so much to this program. Erika has been here for four years. For Ella and Kayla, this is their second, but the time here doesn't matter. What they poured in while they've been here has been invaluable and they've elevated our program in the best way this year. We are so happy that we could secure a win in their last time at the Koessler.

"[Dani Haskell] has grown so much throughout the season and we're proud of Dani. She is someone who we put a lot on her and she takes it in stride and she's extremely coachable. There's a lot of mutual respect between Dani and our staff.

"This is the start of momentum for us. We talked about March and anything can happen. That's the mentality we're bringing. If we do everything we need to do, and we put in the work for every game coming up in Atlantic City, we're going to be in a great position to have an opportunity to win. We come to work every single day, but to finish the regular season with a win is beautiful momentum going into Atlantic City."

GAME NOTES

• Canisius' 30-point fourth quarter marked the first time the team has scored 30 points in a quarter since the NCAA reverted to the four-quarter format before the 2015-16 season.
• After scoring 20 points at Niagara last Saturday and with her 21-point performance against Iona, Haskell is the first Canisius player to record a 20-point performance in consecutive games since D'Jhai Patterson-Ricks during the 2019-20 season.
• Haskell has scored 408 points this season, which now ranks as the fourth-most by a sophomore in the school's Division I era, surpassing Brittané Russell (391 in 2007-08). Sara Hinriksdóttir has the third-highest total (453 in 2016-17).
• With her 21 points, Haskell scored a double-digit point total in all 14 games played at the Koessler Athletic Center this season. She amassed 229 points in the 14 contests, leading to a 16.4 points-per-game average, which is the fourth-highest over the last 20 years.
Kayla Jackson hauled in 12 rebounds on Saturday. It is the third time this year Jackson has had 10-plus rebounds in consecutive games. She is also the first Canisius player since freshman Rhay Porter in January to record consecutive double-digit rebounding efforts.
