Five Things to Know:

1) At the Draw
The Canisius women's lacrosse team is back on the road Wednesday for its first mid-week game of the season against Saint Francis (Pa.) in Loretto, Pa. The Golden Griffins enter the contest 2-0 on the season, with road wins over Bucknell (14-12) and Robert Morris (16-11). The Red Flash are 0-1, coming off of a 19-6 loss at Youngstown State on Friday.

2) Series History
Wednesday's game marks the fourth meeting between Canisius and Saint Francis (Pa.). The Griffs have won the first three matchups, outscoring the Red Flash, 46-7, in the all-time series.

The teams last met in 2006 in Loretto, Pa., when Canisius held the Red Flash offense to four goals in an 11-4 win.

3) Off to a Hot Start
The Griffs' 2-0 start to the season is the best since the 2012 campaign and only the third time it has been done in program history.

Senior midfielder Skylar McArthur and junior midfielder Paige Stachura lead the Canisius offense with seven points each. McArthur is the Griffs' leading goal-scorer with six, while Stachura has four goals and three assists so far this season.

4) The Smo Show
Senior captain Katie Smolensky connected on all four of her shots and added an assist to tally five points Saturday against Robert Morris. Smolensky has registered 19 multi-point performances in 34 career games for the Golden Griffins and three with five or more points. Last season, the Rochester, N.Y., native recorded 17 goals and five assists in nine games played. She is currently tied for second in goals this season with five.

5) Sharing the Wealth
Through two games, nine different Golden Griffins have found the back of the net, while eight players have dished out at least one assist. Sophomore Caroline Netti is tied second in goals for the Griffs with five. Senior Megan Hoffman and sophomore Riley Davis each have four points on three goals and one assist.

Junior Kaitlyn Salce and freshman Sarah Kilburn have both made their presence known early this season. Salce has recorded one goal and three assists and Kilburn has registered a goal in each of her first two collegiate contests.
