Men’s Soccer Earns Draw Saturday

Graduate keeper William Howard made three stops to pace Canisius to a scoreless draw Saturday afternoon against Saint Peter's in Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference men's soccer action at Jaroschak Field in Jersey City, N.J.

The Peacocks move to 1-8-2 (0-3-1 MAAC) on the campaign while the Golden Griffins (1-5-5, 0-2-2 MAAC) earned their second consecutive draw in conference play.


Senior
Jonny Tekie led Canisius with four shot attempts and a pair of tries on target. Sophomore Ely Sidibe had three shot attempts in 90 minutes of action - his first Division I game where he has played the full time.

Game Notes

• Seven of Canisius' Starting XI appeared in the full time Saturday, with sophomore Dylan Rice playing in 89 minutes of action.
• The Griffs have played in four scoreless draws this season.
• Canisius out-shot Saint Peter's in the contest by an 18-10 margin. The Griffs posted a four-shot edge in each half (7-3; 11-7). 
• Canisius held a 4-0 edge in corner kicks against Saint Peter's in the contest.
