Canisius Athletics Kicks Off the 2022 More Than A Game Fundraising Campaign

Canisius athletics announced today the launch of its "More Than A Game" fundraising campaign in an effort to support the College's 20 varsity programs and the school's 400-plus student-athletes.

For more than 150 years, Canisius has prided itself on preparing the next generation of leaders in all walks of life. A major piece in that effort is the school's NCAA Division I athletic program.

The "More Than A Game" campaign is an important part of the athletic department's annual fundraising efforts. Each year, the Canisius Blue and Gold Fund becomes increasingly more important. As the school embarks on the next steps in its storied history, your donation to this year's campaign will provide the financial resources needed to help your Golden Griffins continue to be champions in the community, champions in the classroom and champions in competition.

"Last year, our 'More Than A Game' campaign raised more than $285,000 thanks to the generous gifts from close to 1,500 donors," Canisius Director of Athletics Bill Maher said. "As we continue to ask our student-athletes and coaches to rise to the challenge, the support to our Blue and Gold Fund must rise to the challenge as well."
