Women's Soccer Plays to Scoreless Draw at The Mount

The Canisius women's soccer team held host Mount St. Mary's to zero shots on goal while firing eight shots on frame against the Mountaineers, but Mount goalkeeper Drew Camp kept the Blue and Gold off the scoreboard, as the two teams played to a 0-0 draw Saturday afternoon in MAAC women's soccer action at Waldron Family Stadium in Emmitsburg, Md.

Canisius' record moved to 3-3-5 overall and 1-1-2 in MAAC play with its second-straight scoreless tie, while the Mountaineers saw their record go to 1-3-6 overall and 0-2-2 in league action.

After playing a scoreless game through 45 minutes, Canisius rattled off five shots in the game's second half, with sophomore Emma Oliphant registering three of those shots in a little over 17 minutes of play. Sophomore Tiani Fonoti and freshman Lizzy Harkness were also credited with two shots in the game for the Blue and Gold. Junior Jessica Jones recorded her first shutout of the season after being forced to make zero stops on the day.
