Head Coach Matt Mazurek's Postgame Comments
"Today was a battle. We started off slow offensively and picked up the pace too late in game one. We didn't have good enough defense in the first game to win."
"In game two, we came out, executed a plan, continued to battle and got some really big hits when it mattered. We just could not close the door. We need to use today as a learning experience as we move forward and be better from it."
"Vinny [Chiarenza] started to find his stride again, which was great to see. We have had some guys really start to put together good at-bats and get their pitches to hit and capitalize. We are going to have to regroup tonight and come out ready to go tomorrow."
