Five Things to Know
1. Canisius Starts Postseason Play at Siena
The Canisius women's lacrosse team returns to action on Saturday when the Golden Griffins travel to Loudonville, N.Y., to face the second-seeded Siena Saints in the quarterfinal round of the 2021 MAAC Women's Lacrosse Championship at Hickey Field. The Griffs enter the tournament as the seventh seed, while the Saints earned the tournament's second seed after finishing one-game behind regular-season champion Fairfield in the standings. Start time for the contest is slated for 3 p.m.

2. Series History vs. Siena
Saturday will be the 27th meeting between the two MAAC programs. Canisius leads the all-time series with a 16-10 mark against the Saints. The two programs met twice during the opening weekend of the 2021 campaign, with Siena taking both contests. This weekend will be the fourth all-time postseason matchup, with the Griffs leading 2-1. Canisius earned postseason victories over Siena in 2011 and in 2013 before falling to the Saints in the opening round of the 2019 tournament by the score of 16-12.

3. Lucarelli, Davis Named All-MAAC
The MAAC announced Thursday that senior Riley Lucarelli and freshman Riley Davis were named to the 2021 MAAC Women's Lacrosse Teams. A defender from Lancaster, N.Y., Lucarelli is one of five defenders on the All-MAAC First Team. Lucarelli, who started the 2021 campaign as a Preseason All-MAAC honoree, also earned All-MAAC Second Team honors following the 2019 season. Davis is the 15th player in program history to be selected to the conference's all-rookie team. One of two unanimous choices to the 2021 MAAC All-Rookie Team, Davis leads the Griffs with 18 goals on the year, and she ranks second on the roster with 22 points.

4. Marissa Eclipses the Century Mark
With her first goal of the afternoon last Saturday at Iona, senior Marissa Malvaso recorded her 100th career point. Malvaso became the 20th player in program history to eclipse the century mark in points for her career. She enters Saturday's game at Siena having posted a point in 24-straight contests, including 35 of the last 36 outings.

5. Gilbert in Goal
After stopping 10 shots at Niagara April 18, senior goaltender Lauren Gilbert has posted 10-plus saves in 11 career contests, highlighted by her career-high 20 saves versus Quinnipiac in 2019. The 20 stops is tied for the program record with head coach Allison Daley's 20-save game in 2010 against Siena.
