Five Things to Know
1. Battle of the Bridge
The Golden Griffins hit the road and travel north to Lewiston, N.Y., to face the Purple Eagles of Niagara. Canisius returns to the court following a doubleheader sweep of Iona last Sunday to close out the home portion of the 2020-21 spring schedule.

2. Series History
Canisius leads the all-time series against the Purple Eagles, 52-49-2. The Griffs have won the last two match-ups with Niagara at the Gallagher Center, 3-1 on September 24, 2019 and 3-0 on October 18, 2018. The two match road winning streak for the Blue and Gold is tied for the longest in series history by the Griffs.

3. Bree Named Libero of the Week
Sophomore Bree Long was named the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference's Libero of the Week on Wednesday. Long averaged 5.93 digs per set in 15 sets against Rider and Iona last week. Long finished the weekend with 89 digs, having at least 20 digs in each match, helping Canisius go 3-1 against the Broncs and Gaels.

4. Fast Start is Key
Winning the opening set has been key for Canisius so far this season. After claiming the first set in both matches against Iona on Sunday, the Griffs improved to 4-0 in matches when they win the opening frame.

5. Griffs Out-hit the Opponents
On Sunday, Canisius improved to 4-0 this season when they hit at .250 or better. The attack has been key for the Golden Griffins' success this season, as they currently stand at 5-0 when out-hitting their opponents.
