FIVE THINGS TO KNOW
1. Griffs Ends Road Swing Saturday

The Canisius men's basketball team will close out its four-game road swing to start the 2021-22 season on Saturday when the Golden Griffins travel to play at Cleveland State. Game time is set for 2 p.m., and the game will be broadcast live on ESPN+. This game is part of the Cerebro Sports Lake Erie Challenge, which features three teams - Canisius, Cleveland State and Coppin State.

2. Series History vs. Cleveland State
Canisius and Cleveland State are meeting for the fifth time in series history, a series which dates back to the 1971-72 campaign. The Griffs and Vikings have played three of the previous four games in this series in Cleveland, including the last meeting back on Nov. 15, 2016. The Griffs' 102 points in the series' first game in 1971 stands as one of 47 contests in program history where the team recorded 100-or more points on the scoreboard.

3. Green Means Go
Canisius senior Malek Green led Canisius with 14 points in the road loss at St. Bonaventure last Sunday, and he enters this game ranked 12th in the MAAC in scoring average at 14.3 points per game this year. At St. Bonaventure, Green also grabbed eight boards, the 15th time in his first 16 career games as a Griff where he's been good for five-or more rebounds in a contest.

4. Double-Double Dutchman
Junior Jacco Fritz posted his fourth career double-double performance last Sunday after he scored 10 points and grabbed 11 rebounds in the road loss at St. Bonaventure. In his career, two of his four career double-double efforts have come against the Bonnies, as he also posted 12 points and 10 rebounds in the Griffs' 61-57 win over St. Bonaventure at KeyBank Center back on Nov. 23, 2019.

5. Points from the Point Guard
Canisius senior Ahamadou Fofana added 10 points to the Griffs' effort at St. Bonaventure last Saturday, his first game in double-figures scoring this season, and the fifth in his 16-game career at Canisius. He also dished out four assists against the Bonnies, his second-straight game with four assists to his credit.
