MATCH RECAP
After Siena scored a 27-25 win in the first set, Canisius evened the match at 1-1 with a 25-23 victory in set No. 2. Out of the intermission, Siena posted a 25-22 lead to take a 2-1 advantage in the contest, but Canisius battled back to win set four and then set five to score the victory.

In the fourth set, the Griffs trailed the Saints 22-20 before junior Elle Shult recorded one of her four kills on the day, and Vazquez followed with a pair of kills to put the Blue and Gold up 23-22. The two teams traded points to set-up set-point for the Griffs, and Canisius ended up forcing a fifth set thanks to freshman Avery Dole's first career service ace.

The fifth set started with Siena scoring the first three points of the frame to take a 3-0 lead, but Canisius battled back to eventually take a 9-8 lead on a kill by senior Hannah Nelson. Another Nelson kill moments later would put Canisius in the lead for good at 10-9, and the Blue and Gold would secure the victory by scoring five of the set's final six points, capped by a Siena attack error on match-point.
