Five Things to Know...

1. Schedule Change
The Canisius women's basketball team returns to the road Dec. 19-20, with a pair of MAAC games at Saint Peter's in Jersey City, N.J. The Golden Griffins were originally scheduled to play host to Siena Dec. 18-19, but those games were moved due to positive COVID testing results among the Saints' Tier 1 grouping. With this change, Canisius is not scheduled to play again until Jan. 8-9 at home versus Monmouth.

2. On The Road Again
This weekend's trip to Jersey City, N.J., to face Saint Peter's marks the second-straight week where the Blue and Gold will play at MAAC series away from home. Last week, the Griffs played at Marist. Dating back to the 2019-20 season, and including this weekend, Canisius has played six of its last seven MAAC regular season games on the road.

3. A Road Game in a New Place
The two games at Saint Peter's this weekend will be played at the John C. Moore Athletics Center on the campus of New Jersey City University in Jersey City, N.J. Both the Saint Peter's men's and women's teams are playing all of their home games at NJCU this season as the Yanitelli Center on
Saint Peter's campus undergoes renovations.

4. Zeigler Posts 14 Points in Back-to-Back Games
Senior Anndea Zeigler scored 14 points in each of the Griffs' two games against Marist last weekend, which stands as her career-high for points scored in a conference game. Additionally, the Buffalo, N.Y., native's 28 total points against the Red Foxes were more than she scored all of last season after she missed most of the 2019-20 campaign with an injury.

5. Around the Corner
After a weekend off for Christmas, and the newly created bye-week, Canisius will return to action Jan. 8-9 with a pair of home games against Monmouth. Last season, the Griffs swept the regular-season series from the Hawks, which included a 54-53 victory at home on Feb. 22.
