Jess DeMeo's six goals led a group of eight Bulldogs that found their way into the scoring coloumn. Caitlin Breglia recorded seven points on three goals and four assists. Alexa Weber, Lauren Britton and Devon Bolen each scored twice to aid Bryant in its win over Canisius. Bryant won 21 of the games 32 draw controls and out-shot the Blue and Gold 30-23. Goalie Giana Kapoosuzian made 10 saves to earn the victory in net.

Along with Roemer, sophomore Marissa Malvaso also tallied six points, recording the natural hat trick to go with three helpers. Junior Bryar Cummings scored two goals on five shots, while teammates Megan Hoffman, Emma Mryglod and Miranda Malvaso all found the back of the net once in the loss. Freshman goalie Shannon Maroney stopped 12 of the 38 shots she faced.

Canisius and Bryant were tied 3-3 after 5:39 of play when Bryant broke off five-straight goals to take a 8-3 lead late in the first half. Roemer would get one back for the Griffs with an unassisted goal at the 6:43 mark. The score would stay 8-4 for the next five minutes of play before Breglia made it 9-4 Bryant, with 1:38 remaining in the first half.

With less than 30-seconds left in the first half, Marissa Malvaso snuck one by the Bryant goalie to pull the Griffs back within four, 9-5, heading into the break.

Miranda Malvaso would make it a 9-6 game two minutes into the second stanza. However, three minutes later the Bulldogs would score back-to-back goals to go up 11-6.

At the 20:53 mark, Cummings would score her first goal of the game after receiving a pass from Marissa Malvaso, followed by Mryglod's tally to make the score 11-8 in favor of the Bulldogs just 57 seconds later. Bryant would make it a 15-9 game following a 4-1 scoring run, highlighted by DeMeo's fifth goal of the game.

The Blue and Gold would trim their deficit to four, 16-12, on back-to-back goals from Roemer with 3:58 left in the contest. In the final minutes of competition, Bryant would add two more goals, including one as time expired to give the game its final tally, 18-13.

Head Coach Allison Daley Postgame Comments
"We competed hard for 60 minutes today and I am proud of our team for that. We again saw some really great things from this team and that shows how capable we are. We dug ourselves into an hole in the first half but we had a solid response from our team to close the gap."

"We played an extremely challenging non-conference schedule and we hope that has set us up for conference play this weekend."
