1. First of Four
• Canisius starts a four-game stretch on the road with its contest against Fairfield Thursday night. The Griffs will then head to Quinnipiac on Saturday, before returning to Western New York to renew the "Battle of the Bridge" at Niagara. Canisius then heads to Poughkeepsie to square off versus Marist to conclude the road swing.
 
2. Defense wins games
• Canisius is ranked first in the MAAC and 43rd in Division I women's basketball in field goal percentage defense, holding opponents to just 36.3 percent. The Griffs are also holding opponents to 29.0 percent from beyond the arch, which is first in the conference and 75th in the nation.
 
 
3. Share the ball
• Canisius is 3-0 in MAAC play when it registers 15+ assist per contest. The team recorded a season-best 19 assists against Saint Peter's on Saturday Feb. 2. Seniors Sara Hinriksdottir and Maria Welch lead the team with 42 and 41 dimes apiece. D'Jhai Patterson-Ricks is third on the team with 39 assists after recording a career-high six against Iona Monday night.  
 
4. Three in a row
• For just the second time this season Canisius has a three-game win streak. Over the course of those three games the Blue and Gold is averaging 69.0 points, while allowing just 51.7 points per contest. As a team, the Griffs have a field goal percentage of 50.3 percent and 3-point field goal percentage of 53.8 percent. Canisius is out-rebounding its opponents 42.0 to 32.7 during the three-game stretch.
 
5. Best start in last decade
• The Blue and Gold have only had a winning record through the first 10 MAAC games three times in the last decade, including its 7-3 start this season. In 2008-09, Canisius started 8-2 in route to winning the MAAC Regular Season Title and earning a WNIT bid. The other time was in 2014-15, when the team started 6-4, but ended the year 8-12 in league play.
