1. Play4Kay Free Throw Challenge
Canisius will play its annual Play4Kay game on Saturday presented by New Era. The first 150 female fans in attendance will receive a pink Gold Griffins New Era hat. Along with wearing pink jerseys, the team will participate in the Play4Kay free throw challenge, where fans can make pledges for every free throw made by the Griffs over the course of the month.
 

2. "Buffalo From A to Z, Come Take a Tour With Me"
• Authors Kristin Warham and Brigette Callahan will be on hand to sell and sign their newest children's book - "Buffalo From A to Z, Come Take a Tour With Me", a bright, colorful, 54-page guide around the City of Buffalo. The book features a photo of former Canisius hockey player, Ryan Schmelzer, under the letter H, for HarborCenter. 
 
 

3. Four Griffs in Double-Figures
The Golden Griffins had four players reach double-digits in the scoring column in their win over Rider. Junior Tiana Pugh led the squad with 14 points, followed by senior Maria Welch and sophomore Danielle Sanderlin with 12 points and junior D'Jhai Patterson-Ricks with 11 points.
 
 

4. Against the MAAC Elite
After handing Rider its first loss in MAAC play, the Blue and Gold is now 1-2 against the conference's top-three teams. In those games, the Griffs have a field goal percentage of 40.2 percent and 3-point field goal percentage of 33.3 percent, while holding those teams to just 34.8 percent from the field and 20.9 percent from the perimeter. Senior Sara Hinriksdottir and Patterson-Ricks are averaging 14.3 points and 13.7 points per game against Quinnipiac, Rider and Marist this season.
 
 

5. Hitting the Glass
Canisius is one of the best rebounding team in the Metro Atlantic Athletic Conference. The team has the best rebounding margin (+2.4), out-rebounding its opponents 38.5 to 36.1. The Griffs have the second most offensive rebounds (38.5) in the league this season. Sanderlin leads the team with 9.0 boards, followed by Hinriksdottir with 8.2 rebounds per game.
