Five Things to Know - Presented by Salvatore's
1. Griffs Start Road Swing at Buffalo
• The Canisius men's basketball team starts a three-game road swing at cross-town rival Wednesday night, with tip-off set for 7 p.m. The Golden Griffins are coming off an 80-72 win over Holy Cross on Saturday. In that game, the Blue and Gold saw three players score in double-figures, led by senior Malik Johnson.

2. Old-School Scoring
• In the Griffs' 80-72 win over Holy Cross, 48 of Canisius' 80 points came from the traditional 2-point area of the floor. Canisius enters Wednesday's game 56.4 percent of Canisius' total points have come from 2-point field goals, which ranks 48th in the nation, according to kenpom.com.

3. Shoot to Thrill
•
Canisius shot 50.0 percent (28-for-56) from the field in the win over Holy Cross on Saturday, the fourth time this season the Blue and Gold shot 50 percent or better from the field in a game. The team is 4-0 in those contests. Entering the game at Buffalo, Canisius leads the MAAC and ranks 114th in the nation with its 45.4 percent effort from the floor this season.

4. Closing in on 500
•
Canisius senior Malik Johnson needs just two more assists to reach 500 for his career, which would make him just the fourth player in school history to reach that milestone. Johnson, who had a game-high seven assists in the win over Holy Cross, ranks 11th nationally among all active Division I players with his 498 career helpers.

5. Back-to-Back With 10-Plus
•
Junior Jalanni White
came off the bench to score 16 points in the Griffs' win over Holy Cross on Saturday, his second-straight game with double-digits in the scoring column after he was good for a dozen points in the road loss at FAU Dec. 4. White scored his 16 points against Holy Cross after he went 8-for-10 from the field, and he starts Wednesday's game ranked fourth in the MAAC with his 55.9 percent shooting percentage.
