Canisius Announces Hometown Heroes and Military Appreciation Games

The Canisius ticket office announced on Friday that the Golden Griffin hockey and men's basketball programs will be hosting "Hometown Heroes" and "Military Appreciation" games to acknowledge local first responders and military personnel for their dedication and service to the Western New York community.
 
"Hometown Heroes" nights will be held Dec. 28-29 when the Canisius hockey team plays host to Holy Cross at LECOM Harborcenter in downtown Buffalo. Game time for both of those contests is set for 4:05 p.m. Canisius will also hold a "Hometown Heroes" game on Jan. 19, when the men's basketball team hosts Rider at the Koessler Athletic Center, with tip-off scheduled for 2 p.m.
 
Each first responder can receive up to two (2) complimentary tickets for each of the games listed above. Additional tickets for family and friends are available for purchase at $5 per ticket.
 
Canisius will host "Military Appreciation" games Feb. 2, when the men's basketball team plays Marist at 2 p.m., at the Koessler Athletic Center, and then again Feb. 7-8 when the hockey team plays host to Air Force. Active and retired military personnel with valid military ID can receive up to two (2) complimentary tickets for each of the games listed above. Additional tickets for family and friends are available for purchase at $5 per ticket.

All orders are due 24 hours in advance of each game, and proper ID is required to claim the tickets. There will be no day of game orders for these exclusive ticket offers.
