1. MAAC Opener
• When Canisius and Manhattan tip-off Thursday morning, it will mark the start of conference play league-wide. Canisius is 2-3 in the last five conference openers and last played Manhattan to open conference play Dec. 5, 2014, defeating the Jaspers 55-44.

2. Kids Day
• Thursday's contest will be the 20th Annual Kids Day game, presented by Independent Health. The Blue and Gold will host more than 2,000 students from 13 local elementary schools. The students will participate in a relay race and fitness dance during halftime. Tickets to the public will not be sold.

3. Sanderlin is Back
• Sophomore Danielle Sanderlin returned to the Golden Griffin lineup against Vermont after missing the previous eight games due to injury. The sophomore tallied a team-high 17 points in her first game back. On the season, Sanderlin is averaging 12.3 points and 11.7 rebounds per contest.

4. Ending Non-Conference with a W
• The Golden Griffins enter league play after defeating Vermont 67-46 to close out their non-conference slate. The victory marked only the second win in non-league play this season, with the other coming at Albany, Nov. 28, by a final score of 48-42.

5. Last 10
• Despite being swept in the 2017-18 season series against Manhattan, Canisius sports a 5-5 mark against the Jaspers in its last ten meetings with the school. This includes, a 3-2 mark in the last five meetings and 3-1 record in the Koessler Athletic Center.
