LAST TIME OUT|
• Women's basketball was outscored 17-7 in the first quarter against Rider on Sunday and was unable to overcome the deficit, falling to the Broncs 70-54, in Lawrenceville, N.J.
• With the loss the Golden Griffins dropped to 3-12 overall and 1-3 in MAAC play, while Rider improved to 5-10 overall and 2-2 in conference action.
• Turnovers were once again a concern for Canisius, as the Broncs scored 20 points off 19 Canisius turnovers.
• Sara Hinriksdottir paced the team with 17 points, while the Griffs secondary scoring was unable to buoy the offensive attack, as Anndea Ziegler was the next highest scorer with seven points.
• Maria Welch had a jack-of-all-trades type of day, scoring six points and posting five rebounds and four assists.

• Hinriksdottir continues to be the team's most productive point producer, as she is averaging 12.7 points per game and 5.1 rebounds per contest.
• Margret Halfdanardottir is next on the scoring list, posting 8.5 points per game, while Maria Welch is third on the scoring list, averaging 7.8.
• Canisius is averaging 53.6 points per game and is allowing 66.3 for a -12.7 scoring margin.

• While the Canisius offense works through the kinks this season, the Blue and Gold defense has helped do its part.
