LAST TIME OUT|
• Women's basketball was outscored 17-7 in the first quarter against Rider on Sunday and was unable to overcome the deficit, falling to the Broncs 70-54, in Lawrenceville, N.J. 
• With the loss the Golden Griffins dropped to 3-12 overall and 1-3 in MAAC play, while Rider improved to 5-10 overall and 2-2 in conference action.
• Turnovers were once again a concern for Canisius, as the Broncs scored 20 points off 19 Canisius turnovers.
 • Sara Hinriksdottir paced the team with 17 points, while the Griffs secondary scoring was unable to buoy the offensive attack, as Anndea Ziegler was the next highest scorer with seven points.
 • Maria Welch had a jack-of-all-trades type of day, scoring six points and posting five rebounds and four assists.

SCOUTING THE GRIFFS
• Hinriksdottir continues to be the team's most productive point producer, as she is averaging 12.7 points per game and 5.1 rebounds per contest.
• Margret Halfdanardottir is next on the scoring list, posting 8.5 points per game, while Maria Welch is third on the scoring list, averaging 7.8. 
• Canisius is averaging 53.6 points per game and is allowing 66.3 for a -12.7 scoring margin.
• The team is shooting 35.6 percent from the field, while opponents are limited to 39.3.
• As a team the Griffs have averaged 36.0 boards per game and opponents are taking down 40.7
• The Griffs are averaging 17.5 turnovers per contest, while opponents are giving it away 13.5 times per game. 

MANHATTAN SCOUT
• Manhattan comes into the contest with a 5-10 record, and a 2-2 MAAC mark.
• The Jaspers' wins came against Saint Peter's to open the conference slate, and Canisius in the teams first meeting a week or so ago.
• The Jaspers have two players averaging double-figures with sophomore Kayla Grimme pacing the team with 14.3 points per game, while Amani Tatum is averaging 12.5 points per contest.
• Grimme also leads the team in rebounds with 7.2 boards per game.
• Tatum paces the team in assists, posting a mark of 4.1 helpers per contest.
• As a team the Jaspers are averaging 58.6 points per contest, while opponents are scoring at 63.5 point per game clip.
• Manhattan has gone toe-to-toe with opponents in the battle for the glass, taking down 34.7 rebounds per game, while opponents are coming down with 34.0 boards per contest.
• The Jaspers also have done a decent job protecting the basketball holding a -1.7 turnover margin, giving it away 16.1 while opponents are turning it over 14.4 times per game.

SERIES HISTORY VS. MANHATTAN
• The Griffs come into this contest holding a 33-28 lead over the Jaspers in the all-time series history. 
• Home court has been an advantage for both teams as the Griffs lead at the KAC, 21-7 while the Jaspers hold a 17-11 lead at Draddy Gymnasium. 
• In tournament play, Manhattan has gotten the best of the Blue and Gold, holding a 4-1 lead, with the only recent MAAC game coming in 2005, as a Zeh-led squad won 60-54.
• In the last 10 games against Manhattan, the Blue and Gold hold a 6-4 advantage and but had a three-game winning streak broken last meeting. 
• The team has also won three of the last five contests against the Jaspers. 

BLOCK PARTY 
• While the Canisius offense works through the kinks this season, the Blue and Gold defense has helped do its part.
• Notably the Griffs are getting hands on shots this year, averaging 3.3 blocks per game, the highest average its had for a season since the 2014-15 season, when it blocked 3.4 shots per contest.
• The Previous two seasons Canisius had only tallied 2.5 blocks pr game.
• The Blue and Gold has posted three-or-more blocks in five straight contests, a feat it hadn't reached since the early part of last season.
