The Canisius volleyball program heads into a critical stretch of its season and welcomes a pair of the conference's most competitive squads, as Fairfield and Quinnipiac, come to the KAC on Saturday and Sunday. Match times are slated for 1 p.m., each day.

NOTING THE GRIFFS
• The Blue and Gold come into the weekend with a 4-10 overall record and 2-2 conference mark, after splitting its first MAAC home weekend, last week, besting Siena (3-0) and falling to Marist (3-0).
• The win against the Saints was the first since the 2014 season.
Claire Leonard continues to lead the team in kills per set, with a season-mark of 2.96 per frame. That average also ranks her third in the conference in that category.
Sara Wesley has really turned her game up a notch in recent weeks, raising her hitting percentage to a team and conference-leading .338 success-rate.
Cassidy Ceriani continues to lead the team in assists per set, averaging 8.38 helpers per frame, meanwhile Sofia Lopez Acosta still leads the team in digs per set with a 3.79 mark, despite yielding libero duties to Donnett Hickson, last weekend.
• Wesley continues to be a presence at the net, as she comes into the weekend sporting a 0.75 blocks per set average to lead the team.

SERIES HISTORY AGAINST OPPONENTS
• Canisius comes into the contest trailing Fairfield 15-30 in the all-time series.
• The Stags hold slight advantage in the last 10 matches, as the Griffs trail 4-6.
• Quinnipiac's history with Canisius is a much shorter one, spanning just 11 contests. Canisius is 10-1 all-time against the Bobcats.
• Last season proved to be Quinnipiac's best in program history, and tallied its first and only win against Canisius, besting the Griffs 3-0 early in MAAC play.
• Canisius answered back later in the year, upsetting the Bobcats, 3-2 at the Koessler Athletic Center.
• Canisius is 9-1 in the last 10 games against Quinnipiac.
