Five Things to Know Before Canisius Plays at Air Force
1. Griffs Head West to Meet Air Force

• Canisius will be meeting Air Force for the first time in program history on Tuesday night when the Golden Griffins and Falcons meet in the Men Against Breast Cancer Showcase. The Griffs are 3-3 all-time against the two other service academies, holding a 2-2 record against Army West Point and a 1-1 record all-time against Navy.

2. A Start for the Record Book
• Canisius freshman Takal Molson wasted little time adding his name to the Canisius basketball record book after the Buffalo native scored a team-high 25 points in the Griffs' 80-75 loss at Buffalo Nov. 11. Those 25 points stand as the program record for points scored by a Canisius true freshman in his debut with the program. The previous record was held by former Griff Darrell Barley, who had 17 points against Duke Dec. 1, 1992.

3. Reese is a Key Piece
• Canisius sophomore Isaiah Reese was good for 20 points in the loss at Buffalo, with 17 of those coming in the game's second half. Reese, who led Canisius with his 21.0 points per game on the Griffs' foreign tour of Canada in August, had 24 points in the Blue and Gold's win over Colgate in the team's lone exhibition game Nov. 1 at Colgate.

4. Ten Years Between Two Freshmen Starters
• Canisius freshmen Takal Molson and Jalanni White both made their first collegiate start Nov. 11 at Buffalo. This season marks the first time since the 2007-08 campaign where two true freshmen were in the Griffs' starting line-up on opening day.

5. Block Party
• Canisius was credited with six blocks in the loss at Buffalo Nov. 11. That number matches the most blocks the team had in any game through the entire 2016-17 campaign. Senior Jermaine Crumpton had a career-high three blocks, while freshman Jalanni White became the first the first true freshman since former Griff Tomas Vazquez-Simmons to record multiple blocked shots in the season-opener.
