A former Team MVP, forward Taylor Law of the Canisius College hockey team signed a contract with the Elmira Jackals of the ECHL.
In his four seasons at Canisius, Law totaled 49 points, 26 goals and 23 assists during his collegiate tenure. The Markham, Ontario native was named the team's MVP as a sophomore after leading the Griffs with career-best totals of 26 points, 11 goals and 15 assists. Law then battled through injuries the last two seasons and totaled 10 points, six goals and four assists as a senior, helping lead Canisius to the 2014 Atlantic Hockey Championship.
Law is the fifth Griff to sign a professional contract after completing their career in March. Elmira is the ECHL affiliate with the New Jersey Devils and Ottawa Senators of the NHL and the Albany Devils and Binghamton Senators of the AHL.
