The Canisius women's lacrosse coaching tree just keeps on growing, as three of last year's graduating four seniors have made their way into the NCAA Coaching ranks. Maria Kotas, Gabby Kotas and Taylor Smith have all taken on a coaching roll for the upcoming lacrosse season.
“It's great to see three out of the four graduating seniors join the NCAA coaching ranks,” said head coach Scott Teeter. “I'm positive that they will teach their experiences to their players in what it takes to be a champion.”
Maria Kotas was named the head coach of the first year women's lacrosse program at Daemen College, Gabby Kotas is an assistant coach with Fredonia State and Taylor Smith an assistant coach with Lindenwood University.
The three new coaches join 10 other previous Griffs in the coaching ranks.
