Kim Kaul Inducted Into Greater Buffalo Sports HOF

Canisius College graduate Kim Kaul was part of the 14-member Class of 2012 inducted into the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame on Wednesday evening in a ceremony at the Hyatt Regency in downtown Buffalo.

Kaul, a 1980 graduate of the College, appeared in 51 games with the Golden Griffins. The West Seneca native averaged 15.1 points per game as a freshman and then averaged 12.5 points per game to go along with 78 assists in 15 games as a sophomore. After battling injuries as a junior, Kaul was named the College's Student-Athlete of the Year in 1980 when the Canisius women's basketball team posted a 13-7 record.

After Canisius, Kaul coached softball at Orchard Park High School and continued to play the game, being named an All-American in 1992 by the Amateur Softball Association. Kaul won a number of medals in the Empire State Games for softball. She also was a successful golfer, owning 14 local and regional  championships while finishing second in the 2005 New York State Amateur.

The 2012 Class was the 22nd class in the history of the Greater Buffalo Sports Hall of Fame and brings the total membership to 254.
