Head coach Dave Smith
announced the 2010-11 captains that will lead the Canisius College hockey
program next season. Phil Rauch will serve as the team captain during his senior season, while Cory Conacher and
Scott Moser are
the assistant captains.
"To be recognized as a captain of our program is a great
honor for these student-athletes," Smith said. "I believe that Phil, Cory and
Scott will do an excellent job of carrying the message of our past captains,
while bringing a different dynamic for the future."
Rauch has appeared in 94 career games as a Griff, including
36 during the 2009-10 campaign. The defender from Lambertville, Mich. has totaled five career points,
registering four assists last year.
The Atlantic Hockey Player of the Year last season, Conacher
set school records with 53 points and 33 assists to go along with 20 goals as a
junior. He ranked second nationally with 1.51 points per game and was the only
player in the country to rank in the top 15 in both goals and assists per game.
During his three-year career, Conacher has totaled 105 points, 39 goals and 66
assists.
Moser, a rising junior, played in all 37 games last season,

was named the team's Most Improved Player following the season, has appeared in
59 career contests and has registered 28 career points on seven goals and 21
