"We had a number of other players step up and today was a good, gritty win."
The Griffs were down 23-21 in the first set but won the final four points of the set to get the win. After a Saint Peter's error, Brawn had two kills and Kaela Glenn had a service ace for the winning point.
Saint Peter's (4-10, 1-2) rallied to win the second set, coming back from a 18-12 deficit to tie the set at 21-21. The Peahens then won four of the final six points to even the match.
Canisius pulled away in the third set with the score tied at 14-14. The Griffs went on a 5-1 run to take control and go up 2-1 in the match.
