Former Griff Dan Carey Named All-Star Starter

Former Canisius College lacrosse player Dan Carey has been named to the starting lineup for the 2007 National Lacrosse League All-Star Game. The contest is scheduled for March 10 at 10 p.m. Eastern time and is to be played in Portland, Ore.

Carey spent one season in the Blue and Gold, leading the team with 30 goals and ranking second with 35 points during the 2005 campaign. The Colorado Mammoth took Carey with the seventh overall pick in the 2005 NLL Entry Draft.

This season, Carey is tied for fourth in the league with 23 goals, fifth with 28 assists and is fourth in points with 51. He leads the Mammoth in goals and points while ranking second in assists.

The All-Star Game starting lineups were determined by the combined voting of the league's general managers, media, and fans who voted online.
