Stoczynski begins her first season as assistant coach for the Golden Griffins, after completing a four-year stint as one of the top shortstops to ever wear the Canisius uniform. She will be responsible for assisting with recruiting, academic development and will work primarily with the infielders.
Joining the Griffs in 1997-98 after being named First-Team All-Western New York at Depew High School, Stoczynski quickly began rewriting the Canisius record books. A two-time All Mid-Atlantic Second Team selection, Stoczynski played in all 184 games played at Canisius over her four-year career. She finished as the team's all-time leader in home runs (14), assists (449) and at bats (549) and was named to the Verizon Academic All-District I First-Team in 2000 and 2001 for her work both on the field and in the classroom.
Stoczynski graduated from Canisius in 2001 with a bachelor's degree in political science and is currently pursuing a master's in counselor education.
