Paul Panik returns to the Blue and Gold as an assisant coach for the 2015 season.
Panik spent four seasons behind the plate with the Golden Griffins (2007-10). The Hopewell Junction, N.Y. native appeared in 121 career games and had a .262 career batting average to go along with 57 runs scored, 16 doubles, eight home runs, 65 RBI and a .387 on-base percentage.
Panik spent the 2014 season as an assistant coach at Niagara University. Prior to his time with the Purple Eagles, Panik was an assistant coach at Butler University during the 2013 season. Panik also was an asssistant with Western Connecticut State University in 2012. While not coach, Panik has worked with AIA Team Sports as an account executive.
Panik graduated from Canisius in 2010 with a degree in marketing.
