Jason Levesque

Jason Levesque is in his second season as an assistant coach for the Golden Griffin men's lacrosse program. Levesque assists with the day-to-day operations of the program and serves as the team's defensive and recruiting coordinator.

Levesque returned to his alma mater in August 2008 after spending three years at Lees-McRae College in Banner Elk, North Carolina. The St. Catharines, Ontario native led the Bobcats' defense and recruiting efforts during his time in North Carolina, with the 2007 team finishing the season with the fifth-ranked man-down defense in the country.

A member of the first two teams at Canisius to earn a MAAC Championship berth, Levesque played for the Golden Griffins from 2000 to 2004. A defensive midfielder, Levesque recorded six points, four goals, two assists and 101 ground balls during his career.

Levesque also played in the Ontario Lacrosse Association and Major Series Lacrosse for his hometown St. Catharines Athletics junior and senior teams. In 2001, he helped the Athletics win the Minto Cup, awarded to the top junior team in Canada.

Levesque earned a bachelor's degree in physical education from Canisius in 2004 and in sports management from Lees-McRae in 2008. He is currently pursuing his master's in sport administration at Canisius.
