One of the best to wear the Blue and Gold, Tim Edwards is in his second season on the Canisius sideline as a volunteer assistant coach. Edwards will work directly with the team’s faceoff and man-up units.

In his first season with the Griffs coaching staff, Edwards helped sophomore Steven Coss post a .515 faceoff percentage in his first campaign as the team’s main weapon at the X. Coss also excelled as the season progressed, winning at least half of his draws in seven of the final nine contests and earning MAAC All-Tournament Team accolades.

A four-time selection to the All-MAAC Team, Edwards finished his collegiate career ranked eighth in school history with 145 career points, fourth with 80 career assists and third with a .558 faceoff percentage.

The Jamesville, New York native played a key role on campus right from the start. The 2012 MAAC Rookie of the Year, Edwards scored the game-winning goal in the conference’s title game as a freshman, helping lead the Griffs to their second NCAA Tournament appearance in school history.

While serving as an assistant coach with the program, Edwards is also pursuing his professional career, having been drafted by the Chesapeake Bayhawks of Major League Lacrosse and the Buffalo Bandits of the National Lacrosse League.

Edwards earned his bachelor’s degree in finance from the College in 2015. He was a three-time selection to the MAAC All-Academic Team during his time with the Griffs.
