Kisa Brannen is entering her second year on the Canisius softball coaching staff after closing out her playing career at Dartmouth University. She works with the Griffs' pitchers and catchers, while also assisting in the day-to-day operations of the program.
Brannen played catcher, utility and first base in her four seasons with the Big Green. She left her mark on the Dartmouth offensive record book, finishing third all-time in career batting average (.307), first in career home runs (9), third in RBIs (71), fourth in doubles (26) and third in walks (31).
She played in 44 games in her senior season and set a new Dartmouth single-season record with 36 RBI. She hit a career-best .322, with 10 doubles, a triple and a team best five home runs after opening the season with a nine-game hitting streak.
A native of Los Angeles, Calif., Brannen graduated from Dartmouth with a degree in sociology. She is currently pursuing her master's degree in sport administration at Canisius. Brannen resides in Buffalo.
