Julie Gallegos returns to the Canisius women's lacrosse coaching staff for her fourth season. She was a four-time letterwinner at Niagara University and started every game for four seasons while a member of the Purple Eagles' squad. She also helped lead the Niagara team to back-to-back appearances in the MAAC Tournament finals her junior and senior seasons.
Gallegos was selected as Niagara's Most Dedicated Player after her sophomore season before being named the "Unsung Hero" of the Niagara team following her junior campaign. She was selected to the MAAC All-Tournament Team as a junior and senior.
While at Clarence High School, she played four years of lacrosse under former Canisius head coach Doug Kohler. She was named all-conference her senior season after winning the Section VI championships for four straight years. She also played four years of scholastic soccer where Kohler acted as her head coach for two seasons.
Gallegos graduated from Niagara with a degree in marketing and is currently pursuing her master?s degree in sport administration at Canisius.
