Colin Bartoo was promoted to to assistant athletic director for compliance and operations in January 2026 after spending two years as the University's executive athletic operations coordinator. In his role, Bartoo is tasked with oversight of Canisius' compliance efforts, providing support to administrators, coaches, staff and student-athletes in 21Â varsity sport programs.
He also helps oversee Canisius' business and athletic department operations.

Prior to joining the staff at Canisius, Bartoo spent the 2022-23 academic year as the director of facilities and events for athletics at Francis Marion University in South Carolina. In this role, he oversaw all day-to-day operations for Francis Marion’s athletic facilities and served as the event manager for all home contests. Bartoo also served as an events and facilities intern at University at Buffalo in 2021-22.

A native of Hamburg, N.Y., Bartoo earned his bachelor's degree in sport management from the State University of New York (SUNY) at Cortland in 2020. Bartoo is active in his community as an assistant coach with the Hamburg High School varsity boy's hockey team and a board member for the Conor J. Long Foundation.
