Cylena Noland joined the Canisius athletic training staff in January 2026.
Noland came to Canisius after serving as an assistant athletic trainer at the University of Miami in Coral Gables, Fla., for 16 months, starting in August 2024. There, she worked directly with Miami’s cross country, track and field and cheer and dance programs. Prior to her time at Miami, she held student athletic training internships with the Vanderbilt women’s basketball program and the Tennessee Titans of the National Football League.
At Canisius, Noland serves as the primary athletic trainer for the school’s cross country/track and women’s lacrosse programs, while also providing athletic training support to the men’s and women’s swimming and diving teams.
Noland earned her undergraduate degree in psychology from the University at Buffalo in 2022 and went on to earn her master’s degree from UB in athletic training in 2024. While working toward her master’s degree, the South Glens Falls, N.Y., native spent time as an athletic training assistant with the Buffalo Marathon, and she was also a member of the Bulls’ softball program.
