• Played in two games as a rookie on the 2010 team.

Before Canisius
• Earned four varsity letters in soccer at Geneseo Central High School.
• A two-time team MVP, she was the Co-Player of the Year in Livingston County in 2009.
• Named an All-Greater Rochester (N.Y.) honorable mention in 2007, 2008 and 2009.
• Tabbed as a third-team all-state choice in 2008.
• A two-sport athlete in high school, she also was a member of the school's track and field team.
• Won a sectional championship in track and field four times from 2006-09.
• Was the individual sectional champion in pentathlon in 2008.

• The daughter of Roger and Kathleen Root.
• Majoring in athletic training at the College.
• Has two sisters, Kaitlin and Kelly and a brother, James.
