Burek joins the Griffs' coaching staff after playing for the last four seasons at Albany where she was the America East Conference Co-Player of the Year in 2013. While serving as a team captain, Burek led the Great Danes in points with 84 during her senior season. Burek was named to the IWLCA All-America Northeast Region Second Team in 2013 and participated in the IWLCA North-South Senior All-Star Game.

Prior to Canisius, Burek served as a head coach for the Albany Elite Lacrosse Club for three seasons coaching high school aged students.
