A three-time All-American at the University of Louisville, Kaylin Morissette is in her second year with the Canisius College women’s lacrosse program as an assistant coach.

“We are very excited to have such a talented athlete like Kaylin join our program,” said Canisius head coach Scott Teeter. “When you can bring in a three-time All-American on to your staff, it only helps to continue to raise the bar with our team. Kaylin has had success at every level she has played and I expect it to be no different as she transitions into a coach. She is one of the best draw specialists to play the game and we’re thrilled that she can share her expertise at Canisius.”

The first three-time All-American to play at Louisville, Morissette was named to the IWLCA All-America First Team in 2015 and 2016 after collecting second-team accolades in 2014. The Bowmanville, Ontario native finished her career ranked second all-time in NCAA history with 572 career draw controls, while also ranking second in the Louisville record book with 51 career assists, third with 218 points, third with 119 ground balls and fourth with 167 goals.

Following her graduation in May, Morissette was a member of the inaugural season of the women’s lacrosse professional league, UWLX, playing with the Philadelphia Force.

Morissette has also enjoyed a successful run on the international stage. She was named to the All-World Team during the 2011 U-19 Women’s Lacrosse World Championship, helping Team Canada to the bronze medal. She was then selected for the national team following her freshman campaign at Louisville, helping Canada to its first-ever silver-medal finish at the 2013 FIL World Cup.

On the sideline, Morissette has also spent two years as an assistant coach with Lady Blue Knights Under-19 team, while serving as head coach for both the Junior and Baby Blue Knights programs.

Morissette earned her bachelor’s degree in 2016 from Louisville in exercise science. She is currently pursing her master's in sports adminstration at the College.
