Lyons joined the Canisius women's lacrosse staff at the beginning of the 2019-20 academic year.
Lyons arrives on Main Street after spending the last two years as the head coach for the U19 Halton Hills Lady Bulldogs women’s field lacrosse program in her hometown of Georgetown, Ontario. Lyons guided the Lady Bulldogs to a silver medal in the Michigan Great Lakes Lacrosse Tournament in 2018, followed by a gold medal in the same tournament in 2019. She also led the program to two U19 Provincial OWFL Silver Medals in 2018 and 2019.

Lyons completed her collegiate playing career in 2016 after three seasons at the University of Delaware. An impact player for the Blue Hens, Lyons was a three-time IWLCA All-Mid Atlantic selection and All-CAA First Team honoree. Lyons finished her career 13th in program history with 168 points, 19th with 103 goals and ninth with 65 assists. The Georgetown, Ontario, product recorded 16 career hat tricks. Lyons graduated from Delaware with a bachelor of science in health behavior science.

The attacker was also a member of the 2011 Canada U19 National Team, under former Canisius head coach Scott Teeter that earned bronze.
