2007-08: Earned the 12th-best team time for the 100 freestyle (55.37) at the 2008 MAAC Championships...Swam his best 200 free time at the MAAC Championships, ranking fourth on the team with a time of 1:59.62...In the same meet, pulled in a best time of 5:26.37 in the 500 freestyle and swam the 100 back in 1:07.84...In the 2007 meet against Shippensburg, he raced the 1000 free in 12:07.01...Raced the 200 back at Gannon in 2:29.82.   

2006-07: Third in 1000 free against NJIT... Third in 100 back against NJIT... Named to the MAAC All-Academic Team... Spent later portion of the season studying abroad

2005-06: Fourth-fastest on the team in the 500 freestyle (5:22.33) and 1,000 freestyle (11:13.80) and fifth-fastest in the 200 freestyle (2:00.71)... Recorded season-best times in those events at the MAACs... Took third in 500 freestyle against Binghamton and Grove City... Member of second-place 400 freestyle relays against Shippensburg and Grove City... Recorded third-place finish in 1,000 freestyle against Cleveland State

Before Canisius: Three-time letterwinner for the Warriors... Served as team captain during senior season... State team in 2005

Personal: The son of Gregory and Norine Burns, Liam is a physical education/health major at Canisius...Has two siblings, Morrigan and Bridget
