Jenkins joined the program during the 2006-07 season as an assistant coach. A 2003 graduate of California State University, Northridge with a degree in business administration, Jenkins was a three-year letterwinner with the Matadors. Jenkins finished first in the 200 butterfly at the Pacific Collegiate Swim Conference Championships. After his swimming career, Jenkins played water polo at Cal State Northridge and for local club teams.
A native of Springfield, Mass., Jenkins earned coaching experience by assisting the Porter Valley Aquatics in California. He also was an assistant on summer league swim teams in California.
Prior to attending Cal State Northridge, Jenkins swam at Springfield Central High School in Massachusetts and was an eight-time Western Massachusetts champion and also was a runner-up on the state level. His brother Zack, is currently a senior on the Golden Griffin men's team.
