Hit .615 (8-for-13) with two homers, two runs scored and five runs batted in at the 2005 MAAC Tournament, despite playing with an injured hand... Recorded 15 total bases and posted a 1.154 slugging percentage in the MAAC Tournament... Had a season-long six game hitting streak from May 8-May 14... During that six-game hitting streak, Gerace raised her batting average by 49 points... Her .371 (13-for-35) batting average with runners in scoring position ranked second on the team... Was 3-for-3 in stolen base attempts... Was credited with four sacrifice hits... Posted a .915 fielding percentage.
2004: Started in all 38 games played at shortstop... Missed 15 games from March 30-April 18 with a broken bone in her hand... Hit .212 (21-for-99) with 15 runs scored and 16 runs batted in... Had five multi-hit games... Went 4-for-4 with a double, her first career home run, a career-high six RBIs and three runs scored in the team’s loss to UC Riverside... Had four games with two or more RBIs... Was named the MAAC Rookie of the Week May 4, after hitting .600 (6-for-10) with a home run, two runs scored and three runs in four games.
Before Canisius: Won five varsity letters in softball at Kenmore West High School... Was named first team all-state after her junior and senior seasons... Was also named the Western New York Player of the Year in 2002 and 2003... A four-time letterwinner in basketball, she was honored as the team’s MVP.
Personal: The daughter of Tom and Gail Gerace, Jamie is a history major at Canisius... Has two sisters, Kristie and Sandi... Father Tom attended Canisius College.
