Former Binghamton standout Stephanie Bielec is entering her second season with the Golden Griffins as a graduate assistant.
As a four-year starter the Bearcats, Bielec was an All-American East Conference selection in back-to-back seasons. The Niagara Falls, N.Y. native, earned the starting role for three seasons before having a career-ending injury her senior season.
Following graduation, Bielec accepted an assistant coaching position at Niagara, where she assisted in hitting and base running. Bielec helped lead the Purple Eagles to their first MAAC tournament appearance in four years. Following her stint in Niagara, Bielec coached one season at Buffalo State, where she worked closely with the infield.
Bielec received a bachelor degree in English creative writing and rhetoric and a minor in health and wellness studies at Binghamton University and completed her master's of education at Canisius College.
