Jen Consaul

Former Canisius pitcher Jen Consaul is in her second year as an assistant coach with the Golden Griffin softball program. A four-year letterwinner, Consaul serves as the team's pitching coach while also assisting with day-to-day operations of the program under second-year head coach Kim Griffin.

Consaul appeared in 126 career games, where she made 88 starts in the circle for the Blue and Gold from 2011-14. Her 126 career appearances and 637.2 career innings of work rank first all-time in school history. In her career, she posted a career record of 48-44 with six saves and a 2.68 ERA to go with 364 career strikeouts. In 2014, the Chili, N.Y., native set a new program record with 33 complete games for the Griffs and her 246 innings in the circle ranks first all-time among Canisius pitchers for innings in a season. She ended her career ranked fourth in school history with her 48 victories, highlighted by her career-best 17 wins in her senior campaign.

A 2014 All-MAAC Second Team honoree, she was also honored as a Preseason All-MAAC selection prior to the start of the 2013 season. She was also honored for her work in the cloassroom as well, as she earned three MAAC All-Academic awards and was named to the 2014 Capital One Academic All-District First Team by CoSIDA. A former member of the Canisius Student-Athlete Adivory Committee, Consaul also represented Canisius on the MAAC SAAC in the fall of 2013.

Consaul earned her undergraduate degree in communications from Canisius in 2013, and she is currently working toward her master's degree in sport administration at the College.
