2008: Played in, and started, all 53 of Canisius’ games... Was named second-team All-MAAC, the third-straight season she’s received MAAC postseason honors... Also named to the MAAC All-Tournament Team... Started the season as a Preseason All-MAAC selection... Hit .288 (45-for-156) with five doubles, three home runs and 34 runs batted in... Scored 18 runs... Ranked third on the team and sixth in the MAAC in RBIs... Her three homers were second-most on the team and her 59 total bases was fifth-best on the roster... Had 10 multi-hit games... Went 3-for-4 with two RBIs and a stolen base at James Madison March 16... Also had three hits and drove in three runs in a win over St. Francis (Pa.) at home April 15... Had a season-high four RBIs at Niagara April 19... Her two-run homer against Syracuse April 24 helped lift the Blue and Gold to a 4-3 victory... Had three hits and drove in three runs in Canisius’ three games at the MAAC Tournament... Hit a solo homer in the Griffs’ win over Marist in the first round of the MAAC Tournament... Was credited with nine sacrifice hits, four stolen bases and a sacrifice fly... Ranked fourth on the team with 193 fielding chances... 2007: Earned first team All-MAAC accolades after starting all 48 Canisius games... Hit .279 (38-for-136) with 32 runs batted in, 10 runs scored, eight doubles and four home runs... Her 32 RBIs made her just the 21st player in school history to post 30-plus runs batted in for a single season... Hit her first collegiate grand slam and totaled eight RBIs in Canisius’ 16-5 win over Norfolk State Feb. 24... Closed out that game going 3-for-4 with the grand slam, a triple and three runs scored... Recorded her second grand slam of the season April 20, against Manhattan... In the two-game set with the Lady Jaspers, she went 4-for-6 with seven RBIs, two doubles, two runs scored and a homer... Ranked third on the team in slugging percentage (.456), hits (38) and total bases (62)... Recorded seven multi-hit games and posted two RBIs in four different games... Had a season-long seven-game hitting streak from April 14-22... Hit .348 (16-for-46) with 13 RBIs, five doubles, a homer and eight runs scored in 16 games against MAAC opponents... Named the MAAC Player of the Week March 3, after hitting .500 (4-for-8) with a triple, a run scored and eight RBIs over the first weekend of the regular season... Posted a .943 fielding percentage and led the team with 77 assists... One of six Canisius players to be named to the MAAC All-Tournament Team.
2006: Started in all 51 games as a rookie... Was named second-team All-MAAC by the conference’s coaches... Ranked second on the team with her .265 batting average (39-for-147) with 12 doubles, a triple, a homer and 18 RBIs... Scored 19 runs, which also ranked second on the squad... Posted a .381 slugging percentage and a .321 on-base percentage... Hit .400 (20-for-50) with six doubles and 13 runs batted in against conference rivals... Hit .246 (14-for-57) with runners in scoring position... Was named the MAAC’s Rookie of Week May 6, after hitting .391 with two doubles, a homer and seven runs batted in... Picked up her first college hit, a double, in her second collegiate at-bat against Norfolk State... Had nine multi-hit games, highlighted by a three-hit outing against Fairfield at home... Hit her first college homer in the second game of a MAAC doubleheader with Fairfield at home... Took a career-longest nine-game hitting streak into the MAAC Tournament... Went 2-for-3 with a triple, a run scored and an RBI in the team’s win over Elon... Registered a fielding percentage of .955 with 134 putouts and 54 assists... Honored for her work in the classroom by being named to the National Fastpitch Coaches Association All-America Scholar-Athlete team.
Before Canisius: Attended Santa Catalina School in Monterey, Calif., for her junior year of high school where she led the team to its first Mission Trail Athletic League title and postseason appearance in 24 years... Voted the MTAL Player of the Year and All-Monterey County as a catcher... Was among the county’s leaders in batting average, hits, home runs, extra-base hits and runs batted in... Played five years of club softball with the Salinas Storm and played in five ASA National Championship Tournaments, winning an ASA Western National title in 2000... Attended York High School for her freshman, sophomore and senior years... Earned academic “high honor roll” all four years in high school.
Personal: The daughter of Tom and Paula Norton, Cameron is a dual major in both mathematics and psychology at the College... Has two older sisters, Jessica and Amelia.
