Andrew Parker

Former Hampden-Sydney standout Andrew Parker is in his first season as a volunteer assistant coach with the Canisius men’s soccer program.
 
Parker played four seasons for the Tigers (2013-16), starting 60 of 64 contests played. He tallied a goal and an assist from his midfield position. He served as team captain for the 2016 campaign and was a two-time recipient of the team’s hustle award.  
 
A native of Moseley, Va., Parker played his prep soccer at Cosby High School, leading the Titans to the state finals in his senior season. He was a first-team all-district, all-region and all-metro selection and served as team captain.   
 
Parker began his coaching career at Fuqua School in Farmville, Va., serving as head coach of the boy’s varsity program in the spring of 2017. He has also worked with Own Touch Soccer and the FC Richmond Soccer club and the Richmond Special Olympics Youth Soccer.
 
Parker graduated this past May from Hampden-Sydney with a bachelor’s degree in history. He is pursuing a master’s degree in sport administration at Canisius.
