2006: Played in 15 games and made nine starts ... Registered a goal and an assist ... Took five shots, and two were on net ... Scored a goal against Loyola Oct. 6 ... Tallied an assist vs. Rider Oct. 8.

2005: The only freshman and one of two Griffs to start all 18 games ... Spent most of his playing time in the back but also saw action in the midfield and up top ... Third on the team with 17 shots and second on the squad with eight shots on goal ... Scored a goal in a 3-2 home victory against Siena.

Before Canisius: Three-year varsity letterwinner at Lockport High School ... Earned first-team All-Western New York honors as a junior and senior ... Tallied 16 goals and 15 assists as a senior and finished his career ranked eighth on Lockport’s all-time scoring chart with 36 goals and 50 helpers ... Led the Lions to a 16-2-3 record and an appearance in the sectional finals in 2004 ... Named all-state and all-region ... Earned all-league accolades from 2002-04 ... Also lettered in track and basketball.

Personal: Born Aug. 11, 1987 ... The son of Marc and Susan Carpenter, Chris is majoring in finance at Canisius ... Older brother, Dave, played three seasons on the Canisius soccer team ... Has two uncles who played college basketball.
