Biography

2001: Saw action in all 13 games at defensive midfield with three starts... Posted four ground balls.

2000: Played in all 13 games as a long stick defensive midfielder, earning three starts... Grabbed 25 ground balls... Named to MAAC All-Academic Team.

1999: Played in four games as a freshman and registered an assist.

Before Canisius: Played four years of varsity lacrosse at Schenectady High School and earned two letters... Was honorable mention all-league as a senior... Also played soccer and competed on the indoor track team.

Personal: The son of Vincent and Joyce Burega, Rick is a communications/English major at Canisius. Born: October 18, 1979.
