Biography

Before Canisius: A NJCAA All-American at Herkimer County Community College, Carey led HCCC to a national championship in 2003 and a national runner-up in 2004... Was a team captain in his senior season, scoring 54 goals and 41 assists for 95 points in 17 games... Named team and league Most Valuable Player and HCCC Male Athlete of the Year... Scored 41 goals and added 37 assists for 78 points in 2003 National Championship season... An Academic All-American as well, Carey graduated from HCCC in just three semesters... Won back-to-back Ontario Lacrosse Championships with St. Peter’s in 1997 and 1998... Played indoor “box” lacrosse for the Peterborough Jr. Lakers from 1999-2003 and won the Mann Cup, the Canadian National Championship, in the 2004 with the Peterborough Major Lakers.

Personal: The son of Dave and Cathy Carey, Dan is a marketing major at Canisius.
