2008

• Had a fourth-place finish at the Little Three (19:44)
• Took 19th at the Duquesne Duals (20:00) and 22nd at the MAAC Championships (23:16)
• Was the top Canisius finisher at the National Catholic Championships (52nd) was second on the team at the Lehigh Invitational
• Finished in 24:18 at the NCAA Regionals

2007

• Ran the fastest time for a Canisius runner since 1997 with a time of 19:02 at the Disney Cross Country Classic in Orlando, Fla.
• Scored top for Canisius (53rd) at the ECAC Cross Country Championships in Bronx, N.Y. with a time of 19:55
• Scored fourth at the Little Three Championships in Buffalo, N.Y. to bring Canisius to the number one spot
• Earned a new personal best at 18:58.

2006

• Participated in all six races for Canisius
• Recorded her career-best time of 21:10, which placed her 37th at the Seawolves Invitational in Sunken Meadow, N.Y.
• Recorded a time of 25:18, good for 62nd at the MAAC Championship in Riverdale, N.Y.

Before Canisius

• A two-time team captain for the Monroe-Woodbury High School team, she was a second-team all-county selection as a senior
• Placed sixth overall in the 2004 Section IX Class AA Championships
• Won five varsity letters in cross country and as a member of the school’s track and field program
• Also played lacrosse for the Crusaders, where she was named first-team all-county after her senior season.

Personal

• The daughter of Ken and Mary Ellen Garnet, Samantha is a physical education major at the College. 
• Her father Ken wrestled at the collegiate level at Brockport and SUNY Delhi.
  
• She snowboards and played club hockey in high school.
  
• She has two brothers, Joseph and Luke.
